I thought it was time to branch out and try some new combinations of essential oils for my bliss balls and I have been inspired to create these immune boosting bliss balls.
They are nut-free, gluten-free, dairy-free and delicious. They are a perfect way to get these beautiful, food grade essential oils into your body. In this recipe we use On Guard, Fennel, Ginger, Cardamom and Black Pepper!
Fennel and ginger are amazing for digestion and can be supportive as an anti-inflammatory. On Guard is doTERRA’s protective blend, so amazing for the immune system and full of the most beautiful antibacterial, antimicrobial oils. Black pepper is so supportive as an analgesic, an anti-microbial and its constituents are high in anti-oxidants so great to support the immune system.
I loved the change up from the usual Jaffa bliss balls and made me use some of the less used essential oils in my collection. The recipe is inspired by the Cacao Addict recipe book by John Croft but I have modified it for my needs.
1 cup of sunflower seeds
10 Medjool dates
3 tbsp coconut oil
3 tbsp cacao powder
3 tbsp hemp seeds
1 tsp vanilla essence
4 drops each of doTERRA’s Cardomom, Ginger, On Guard, Fennel and Black Pepper essential oil (Get them here)
a pinch a salt
Combine in a food processor for at least 60 seconds and then roll into balls
